Using the Dedicated Admin Connection

The Dedicated Admin Connection (DAC) was added in SQL 2005 as a way to make sure that an administrator could get a connection to a server in situations where it was under severe stress - cpu usage close to a sustained 100% for example.

Is Admin the name of the account, or is it really SA? Does the account have to be named Admin?

to revet the configure back is the 1 changed to 0 (zero)?

Could have used a bit more info on what your options are after you connect with the DAC. Still, nice to know that there is such an option. Thanks for the knowledge gain!
