Would have been nice to have a discussion of the most common services and the recommended service accounts for them. Thanks!

learned: 1) tsql: shutdown, 2) transaction-consistent state when service stops

Decent intro video.

Isn't it wrong to say that a service runs without a user account?

I would have like to see a more of a advance disscusion in this topic. However, you did a good job in describing the services...

Very Poor. Good for high school student not professional IT.

Great! You reminded me that Sybase servers had or still have shutdown with nowait option. This is an option to rather be avoided. It might, for example, mess your identity secuences. Thank you.

Mark, everything runs under some account, even if it's the local system account - but most common is a domain account

Good description of what a service is. I would have expanded that information. Good message to newbies about how SQL Server restarts in consistent data state -- why spend so much time on that without putting in title of this video or making a separate video about automatic recovery.

I was aware of most of the material, but haven't had the need to use it for awhile. Great refresher!!!

Although it is implied, it would have been nice to mention in the example of savings and checking that the commands needs to be wrapped in a single transaction, otherwise you can end-up in an inconsistent state.

hadn't seen the pause-function
