I'm currently working for FM Global, an industry leading engineering & insurance company, as a DBA. I've done development of large scale applications in languages such as VB, C# and Java. I've worked in SQL Server from the hoary days of 6.0. My nickname at work is the "The Scary DBA." I even have an official name plate with it. I wear it proudly. I was awarded a Microsoft MVP in April of '09.

need some more clarity on videos.. Pixels should increase for full screen video

Raj on 4/28/2009
The length of the demo would have been little bit longer. I think that would cover more content.

Liked the video, it was to the point. Would love to see simple & small videos like these.

I really expect people who are looking at execution plans in SSMS know how to expand properties or click the elipsis... An explanation of what the property values mean and what to look out for is I believe more appropriate for the audience visiting this site.

Christan Mark on 9/20/2011
Missing focus on the actual values, this is just how the properties window works.

Dick Rosenberg on 9/20/2011
What do you do with the information?

William on 9/20/2011
I thought properties showed the same as the tooltip. I'm glad I was wrong! Great tip!

explaining some of the details (i.e., expr1002) would be nice.

a great tip to view Properties

I guess I never thought of right-clicking on an operator! I preach using right-click to DBAs all the time, and it turns out, I need to do it myself! Thanks Mr. Fritchey!

Leon on 2/11/2012
Sorry, too simple. For example I know a Plus-sign means I can expand it...

Maurice Ivory on 2/27/2012
Not bad
