keep up the good work. Can you do one one grouping or other new/changed features in SSRS 2008.

Abdallah on 8/25/2009
Are there any examples on report columns, and not charts? I have a report with 10 columns and I want to have 4 dynamic fields where you can show or hide.

Never get to see the full video. The subject matter was interesting.

Drop down parameter lists, charts, and KPI's are what really gives SSRS it power. Good demo...please do one on KPI's. Don't think I seen one from you on those yet..

Very basic. How about hiding Header and Footer dinamically?

Pehle on 9/2/2009
A great video

Ed Svastits on 9/2/2009
Good presentation. Simple and straightforward. But, ... shouldn't the Report Parameter have been named "DisplayChart" instead of "HideChart"? :)

Jessica Moss on 9/5/2009
@Doug: The same steps will work in SSRS 2005 too! @Robert O.: You can use the same steps to hide all items within the Header or Footer, but there is no way to reduce the space allocated to those sections @Ed Svastits: You can rename the parameter to whatever works best for your report.

B on 8/25/2010
I have tried this with the chart below the report, but the printing goes screwy because it still allows space for the chart even though it is not physically displayed so you get blank pages.

Kenneth Wymore on 8/25/2010
Easy to understand and concise. Nice job!

Jessica Moss on 8/27/2010
B, You can try moving your hidden up vertically to the rest of your items, which may help. You can also try putting multiple items in a rectangle to see if that helps. Unfortunately, if neither of those work, you may need to just move around some items and play with the margin sizes to work around it. Best, Jessica

Alex Fredrich on 9/2/2010
excellent

Carlos on 9/4/2010
Isn't there a better way of doing this? It seems a bit cumbersome from a users standpoint to have to go to a drop down menu to hide the chart.
