this stored primary stage.

It is a good video but some it should also show advanced stored procedures.

Steve Harris on 10/16/2009
might want to mention why you would want to an output parameter in a stored procedure instead of a function

Dan on 10/16/2009
excellent tutorial!

Matt Karp on 10/16/2009
Simple, basic and good. Good to review the fundamentals.

Rich on 10/16/2009
As with other videos, it's great that you include code that almost works, but fails for a commonly written coding error. Thanks.

Andy, One thing I'm noticing on most of the videos is how easy it is for the presenter to go too fast in spots. Encourage the presenters speak slowly through the entire piece...it would help....Love the site! Robert Griffin

Thanks for highlighting the "ouitput" parameter in the Stored Procedure video!

Leonard Peoples on 10/16/2009
Good stuff. Thanks.

Dana Baillie on 10/16/2009
Very good. As a newbie, this was very helpful.

Joe Pattison on 10/16/2009
I have really appreciated and value your excellent training. Is it possible to add a way to copy the code? Thanks!

Mark Sopczak on 10/16/2009
Very good I leaned a lot from this

Lloyd Edwards on 10/16/2009
more details

I would also find it useful if the presenter could 'attach' their used code and make it available. Obviously some scenarios would not benefit.

Would have liked to have taken it a bit further ...get the label/title attached to the count and perhaps how to have it run a more complex query taking the state names from another query or table

Dean Gross on 10/17/2009
Good intro, however the demonsration shows the name of the sproc beginning with Get. I have found that while this naming convention is common, it is very cumbersome because almost all of my sprocs Get something so everything gets grouped together. A more useful naming convention is the Noun-Verb approach in which the action peformed by the sproc is a the end of the name, eg. in this tutorial, the sprocs would be dbo.ContactsByState and dbo.ContactsByStateCount

Information was great. You may want to spend just 1 or 2 minutes to explain parameters.

Erik on 10/19/2009
This was very good and helpful. I would like to see more complex stored procedures explained as well.

Really an excellent video....

Excellent introduction of Stored Procedures for a beginner

lee on 10/30/2009
speaks fast, but it's good and can always rewind. thanks

Zafar Khan on 11/6/2009
it was very fast. I did not get time to read the codes

manuel on 1/19/2010
good short and to the point - excellent step by step examples

kinjalkumar on 3/4/2010
I like the use of "output" parameter .. mostly used for debuging SP's ! Thanks for a nice tutorial .

Deborah Land on 3/18/2010
After showing the error on the output parameter, my screen never changed so I could not see the remaining examples. That made this less useful to me. I'm going to try viewing again.

biruh on 5/1/2010
great it shows the common errors smartly

Lillian Stevens on 6/16/2010
It was very good; but, he went so fast with the last piece, I finally had to capture the next to the last screen and the last screen to see what he changed. I played it over a few times and could never catch it. Otherwise, really good. Thanks!

Marshall Cole on 7/19/2010
Great. Thank You!!!

Good Refresher.

Russell Tye on 12/12/2010
But I didn't understand it. I have a difficult time understanding output parameters. It is not your fault. I have always had a difficult time understanding output parameters. Perhaps you could construct a more in-depth video of this topic.

Terence on 1/4/2011
Presenter going to fast

raghav swami on 1/28/2011
the best and simple

Destiny Barnes on 11/2/2011
