Creating SQL Server Jobs with SMO

As a developer or DBA you can appreciate the power of jobs running under SQL Agent. Now think about how nice it would be to be able to create them without the UI for automating routine - or not so routine - tasks. How do you create such a project? The interface looks like BIDS, but there's no mention of project type or required libraries.
